In the Episcopal tradition, leadership is the shared responsibility of both clergy and the members of the congregation. A vestry is a leadership group elected by the congregation for three-year terms to make decisions on policy, oversee the finances, and work with the Rector and staff to support and encourage the spiritual growth of all our members. Like the rector, the vestry has specific areas of responsibility. At Emmanuel, the vestry is divided into three working groups, each supporting the wider ministry and mission of the congregation: Administration, Property and Mission & Ministry.

Emmanuel’s vestry meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM.  Meetings are open to members of the congregation. Any vestry member is available to meet to discuss concerns about any matter of our common life here at Emmanuel.
